2023 was… The gift that kept giving!
2024 will be… That dream that I had about 10 years ago coming to pass.
Last three things you spend money on? Transport fair, food, and fireball chips.
Last text you sent? On WhatsApp or Normal text? Lol!
Best Dressed Namibian of 2023? Trevor Stuurman (man) and Beyoncé (woman).
2023 in an X (tweet)… Dala what you must.
2023 taught me… If I want to... I can.
What 2023 took away from you? This year was honestly nothing but a blessing.
What song dominated your playlist this year? Mø - Hip Bones
What put Namibia in the spotlight this year? Woah, quite a few things hey. Namibians are doing the most on different scales: Miss Namibia Universe Jamila Uiras at Miss Universe, GoodBoy Archives got featured on HypeBeast, Luis Munana on Young, Famous & African, and Yeezir x Ms Gideon's Pretty Vibes song just to mention a few.
Namibian holiday Destination? Shu, Namibia is so diverse in its offering but I'd go for the coastal regions.
Namibian disruptor of the year? Amusheleo, man had the Government working overtime.
Most overrated thing in 2023? Gender-revealing parties!
2023 highlight? You're making this hard, but here are two highlights:
1 - Starring in Windhoek Draught's 'Come With' commercial
2 - Winning the Bank Windhoek Doek Literary Awards for the 2023 Visual Arts category.
Last thing that gave you sleepless nights? Geez, I had a project planned that was supposed to showcase in Angola but some people I was working with couldn't deliver so I missed that opportunity.
Biggest blooper of the year? Woah, I keep laughing at myself for this one. I was introducing Peke (Photographer) to my sister recently at an event and I was like "Pekelete, Rejoice. Rejoice, Pekelete". He looked at me weirdly and asked" What did you call me?" Just for him to laugh, correcting me that it was Pekelatate. I'm tearing up writing this right now!
A book you will recommend to a friend/family? Oh, Who Moved My Cheese by Spencer Johnson. It was a catalyst in shifting my mindset.
Namibian brand of the year? This is a hard one because not all the brands I can think of fall into the same category and the KPIs on which to measure this are also different.
