Top 5 DYI ideas for your Man-Cave

4. The Cool Pillow
Have you ever wondered how to make your lounge look cool but staying within your budget for it? PLUS! have you also ever wondered what you could re-use your old t-shirts for? This is where it gets useful. You try and use your old t shirt that you probably don't wear anymore but are still in good conditions, or probably if you want your lounge pillows to have a unique look your friends can't cop and buy in any other shops. Find a very interesting print, preferably a baseball shirt is best fit for your man cave. And use that as a pillow case for your new pillows. This will bring a great and sporty vibe to your home. As well as a pop of colors to your setting.

Here's how to do it:
a. Cut a square just under the neckline and inside the sleeves. Make a cardboard pattern of your pillow and lay it on the jersey square centering the logo or numbers and cut all the way around it, allowing a 3-inch border.

b. If you want to make the shirt a bit more harder, you can iron violin under it to give it more structure and lessen its softness on the pillow.

c. For the back of the pillow, cut out the back of your jersey or if you want a different vibe, you could add another piece of fabric that goes with the aesthetics of the t-shirt you used.

d. Lastly, place the two pieces of fabric together both wrong side-out. Take a thread that matches the fabric of your t-shirt and sew the three sides of the two pieces together. Leaving a couple of fabric outside the stitching. Preferably try and use a sewing machine because it saves you time. Turn the pillow cover right side-out, slip in your pillow then sew up the final edge by hand.

Before you know it, the neighbours will be talking about how creatively cool your lounge setting is!
